Back in Sydney

The postings have been slim here. Justine and I have done our bisummeral relocation to Sydney, where the weather is rather better than it is in New York.

I haz proof:

rainbow

Yes, this is the view from where I work. Neener-neener.

Check this out. It is TOTALLY FAKE, but cool.

JarredSpekter of Deviant Art.

And it comes with this awesome FAKE poster, also by Jarred:

I quite like the fake movie trailer/poster art form.

But yes, this is me just being lazy, posting random stuff. I GET TO BE LAZY. I’ve been traveling all over the world the last few months, after all. And I’ve spent the last week working on a s3krit project, which I can’t even tell you about. (Yes, so why tell you that I can’t tell you? I dunno. Just to sound cool, I guess.)

Oh, also! Those of you who are e-book readers (or who know one) here’s a cool new thing:

ugliesquartetebook

It’s the Uglies Quartet all together in e-book form! Check it out here. And here’s a list of the many reading devices supported.

Anyway, I will get back to more regular postings in the new year. In the meantime, happy holidays to everyone.

  1. Omigosh! i thought that the trailer was awesome and they should totally make it a movie…..i also think that they should make the uglies series a movie! how awesome would that be…lol 🙂

    -peace out, sophie

  2. I wasn’t planning on commenting, but that trailor was just plain EPIC! I can’t even imagine how much time it must’ve taken to find all of those perfect clips and lay them just right. Major kudos and love to whoever made it! They have good taste in books, too 😉

  3. That trailer and poster are amazing! I’m so glad I decided to check back in here it’s been awhile 🙂

  4. yay, Grace, someone who wants an Uglies update too!!! see, Scott-la? I’m 127% positive that I am not the only one wanting an Uglies update.
    🙂

  5. Heh, according to the trailer, the Leviathan movie is supposed to come out today. Thinking of going to the theater and asking for a ticket just to see how the ticket lady would react.

Funny, this trailer reminded me of another fake trailer for the Legend of Zelda movie.

It also seems I’m the first new post of the year.YAAAAAAAAY!

  6. So Scott, we have a few things to discuss.

One: While I live the Levithian series, give your other books some love, okay? They get so lonely in the back of your mind…

    Two: I like rainbows.

Three: Do you know how much money you could make with a Levithian movie? Imagine all the trips you could take! If fangirl devotion isn’t enough, maybe the cash will be. (As long as the director doesn’t butcher it like it’s a piece of meat–what an unapeitizing image.)

Alright, Westerfeld, ball’s in your court now.

  7. Hi Scott Westerfeld!

That was a really cool trailer! They picked great clips to show, and they all seemed really realistic.

I have a blog that reviews books, for young adult readers like me, as I am in eighth grade. I just wanted to let you know that I emailed you recently about my review on your book Leviathan. I would love if you could check it out and let me know what you think! Oh, and I have also reviewed your book Uglies, which I loved! You can reach my blog, From The Bookshelf of T.B., at http://www.ftbotbblog.blogspot.com.

    Thank you for your support!

I think who needs someone like David or Zane to help me maintain my integrity Oo would love to meet you but it will be tough, well-bye and keep writing because I loved the books I read in a Petties in one day, without a break, ah ! And wonder how to pronounce Dr. Cable, who always try to speak, is strange.
