Hey, sorry for no posting. (Just. Finished. BOOK.) We’ve been having a great time in Texas.

All the folks at TLA were so amazing and welcoming, and as I’m a native Texian, there were some cool surprises. One of the librarians from my past brought my ancient 8th Grade yearbook. Two things about that:

1) Go Warriors ’77!
2) Picture of me = ouch.

Also, my own high school librarian showed up! She’s still at good old Booker T., and we had lunch and talked about old times.

My friend lives around there, I think o.o Of course she hasn’t read any of your books at all =P I’ve been trying to force her to read Midnighters – or else when we meet in collage – which is our plan – I’ll shove the book in her face – and possibly down her throat if she refuses to read it ^^

    We plan to go to the same collage if we can and meet there 😀

  61. I was on Amazon looking for were books and found a book that reminded me of Peeps with the whole sci fi feel behind the vampires and even linking them up with bacteria and viruses and such. Anyway it’s called I Am Legend by Richard Matheson. I think you’ll like it.

  70. Comparatively, you’re not that young Kim. I am 11, which is very officially Just A Kid. And I am short. Which does not help. People always seem to say, “Did you skip a grade or something?”

    And I glare at them. (I think in Midnighters 2 Melissa said “Glaring was good for making stupid people shut up.” Or something like that.)

    This has been a long and meaningless post. I like to rant about stuff like that. 😀

  106. Shan- oh my gosh i went there over thanksgiving break and it was freezing!!! I was on the datona beach, on the sand even and I had on 2 jackets one being a fluffy camo jacket!

    it was windy and like 40 degrees!!

    oh and if you think january sucks try having it the day after CHRISTMAS!!! no one can ever come to partys because they are with their families and you get all your presents for the year in 2 days..you get NO presents during the summer or ANYTHING! so be thankful
