  1. “Wrangling”?

How difficult can it honestly be to control author’s timing?

    Don’t answer that question. ;3

  2. hmm….#9 post….not bad…..
neways, i agree w/hoba-la……wat do u mean by “wrangling?”
    SEE U IN CT!!

  3. 13 is the greatest number ever or that is what i say my freind says that it is her fav number but IT IS MINE!!!!!!!!

  4. I Just got extras haven’t started it yet ( im reading pretties) I started yesterday and got to 150 and now I am on 323 πŸ˜€ lol so i g2g imma finish pretties This is cool but i live in NY like 3hrs away well bye bye Scott-la!!

PS would it be okay if i read extras before specials? cuz i kinda know what happens so yeah…..

  5. Wow, I’m impressed with myself. I read Uglies thru Specials in what, four days? Granted, I’m a fast reader, but this series just sucked me in. I mean Halo 3 just came out (which I love an want to play ALL THE TIME) and yet I would not put those books down to get in a little Halo time. Even my homework has been lagging behind. These books are bad for my grades. Someone should be informed…

  6. i read them pretty fast too. i was getting em out of the library though, so there was a little break between uglies, and then specials came BEFORE PRETTIES!! and i was like, i will not read it. i will not read it. and then pretties came, and i read pretties and specials back to back in one afternoon. i read pretty fast though. as in i finished the latest harry potter in less than six hours, including breaks for meals and talking to people and bothering my mom who was a little behind me.

  7. hi dudes!!!
if you go to the posting befor this then you will see what i have rote about stuff(mostly you bran-la) still sleepy gtg by my peeps
    GO UT πŸ™‚
    I HATE HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!! πŸ™

    STEPH-LA OVER AND OUT

  8. Hey Scott… just out of curiosity, have you seen stage6.divx.com/Hope-is-Missing/ before? It reminds me a lot of Peeps… anyway, it’s pretty interesting, I guess, although it’s just a gigantic publicity stunt for something that may be very disappointing…

  9. O AND 1 MORE THIG SCOTT-LA PLEASE PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEAEPLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
COME TO HOUSTON TEXAS ME AND BRAN-LA (AND THE CULT) WILL BE HAPPY

  10. Uhhh, wat is the cult, you never said anything about “The Cult”. Jw, u no, since i am your friend and all. O and i still need discriptions on how ppl look in the uglies and midnightwrs, please!

  11. Is the Uglies trilogy movie gonna have open auditions for the part of Tally? Like auditions for people without agents? Thanks soooo much you guys ar awesome! =) Also, links would be great.. For people without agents. Thanks and I already emailed Scott Westerfeld but I know he can reply better on his blog.. thanx

  12. okay, how do ppl look? i’ll do midnighters cuz i’m a bored freak.

rex—sorta longish hair, big glasses, TRENCHCOAT!!! he is not rex without the trenchcoat. from the end of touching darkness on i guess he has short hair, but i see him more with the long hair

jessica—red hair, ponytail, sorta conformist popular clothes, generic

melissa—sunglasses, big headphones, longish generic hair (until end of blue noon maybe? she gets it cut? unsure on that) long sleeved thermal t-shirts covering fingers, gloved. ummm….brown hair i guess. sorta goth.

dess—black hair? i don’t remember it being described. normal hair to the shortish side. sorta funky style, like dresses and wierd stuff, a little goth but less than melissa.

jonathan—umm…brown eyes, black hair (i’m guessing cuz he’s hispanic, don’t remember if they mentioned it) sorta shortish hair. sorta generic style.

ummmm….yeah, i dunno, that’s how i see them. dunno if that helps, bran-la. if i’m really bored maybe i’ll think about uglies. i really don’t know what tally’s supposed to look like, aside from the covers and fanart i’ve seen.

    y do u hate harry potter, steph-la?

  13. Yea — I don’t like Harry Potter that much.
I watch the movies — they are ok.
I never finished one of Her books though.
    BoRINg !!!!!

  14. yeah. i dont care for HER books. i mean i try to read them cause i like reading the books before i see the movie. or it totally ruins it. but i have only read the first 3, and only seen the first 3 movies. SCOTT-LAS ARE WAAAAAAAAAYYYYY BETTER!

    -Lizzy-wa OUT! πŸ˜›

  15. well i like scott-la’s books more, but harry potter isn’t BAD. i mean, i’ve read them all at least once and seen all the movies. but i was mainly into them in like third grade, so there.
nowdays i just rave about CITY OF BONES, mainly to people who haven’t read it. GO READ IT! last night i had this dream i was reading City of Ashes (the sequel–155 days!) and silmataneously watching a movie of it in a drive in theatre on the side of Target. but jace wasn’t in it and i was sad.
    i’m *not* obsessed.
now to make fanart! and order t-shirts!

  16. Thank you Serafina Zane, o and as i thnak you i will compliment you. When ive left and i come back and there are thousands of posts i scroll through till ones intresting and i always stop at yours, i dont no, i just like how you talk i guess, your a fun persone even though i really dont no u!

  17. yeah! it’s probably cuz my posts are all long and unrelated. i just post about how pathetic my life is. lol. just kidding. but thnx, that’s really nice!

i’m making a bixby high school t-shirt!!! it’s like black and i’m putting on red letters that say Bixby High School. and a thirteen pointed star, and Bixby, Oklahoma. when i’m done i might post pictures somehow.

i ordered my melissa shirt for my costume too!

  18. haha all the other authors books start with a verb except one

    sorry that was random
πŸ™‚ im going to try and see if this smiley works πŸ˜†

  19. hi bran-la
when i talk abokut the “cult” i mean the large people here that love scott-la and his non lumpy nose how do u do thoss sweet smilies?

  20. Those smileys are cool. Wish I knew how to do do them. I’m sort of used to the little box on the side of the text box. but I can do html just fine ha just as long as it works. I hope it works here. If it doesn’t..well…i hope it does.

Okay, this sort of random, but has anyone else noticed how just about every Amazon.com book excerpt ends mid-sentence?

Sorry for the semi-long post. Which i guess would make it a medium-sized post. πŸ˜›

  21. hey cool the html worked.

I’m now done with my ramblings, everyone may get back to their regular posting now. *shuffles away*

  22. It’s a shame. I’ll be speaking at Donnell Branch on the 6th. Wish there was a way to link the two events! Would have been cool.

I’ll give you the heads up if zombies and/or unicorns show up at my event.

  23. Nearly all those books begin with a verb.
    Racing
    Finding
    Kissing
    Spanking..

i guess that’s the way to go. finding cassie crazy. saving francesca. finding alibrandi. more..

  24. i’m here now…..*not* in school. but i gotta go to an assembly really soon. and catch up on like eighty poems

  25. and now i’m back. and i reeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaally need to write some poems. so i’ll stop being lazy and trolling intermonets.

  26. God, I wish I didn’t live in Oregon, so far away. I love you and David… both of you in one place would make my life somewhat more complete.

  27. Scott,

The UGLIES Series is terrific! I’m starting EXTRAS now, and I’m sure it is just as good as the other books in the series.

Just wondering, would you ever consider coming to Canada for your future Tours?
