  29. Haha ive been on here since 7 to but half the time i was on my phone refreshing in the eye doctor lobby thing. I even checked it when I was sitting in the big chair. And my vision got better somehow! So that was a waste of two hours. And then I had to fight my sister for an hour to get off. And my bill will probably be high from checking on my phone.

    Haha Im playing around with a trial for photoshop trying to make my mom buy it and i was messing around with her picture and I gave her Peep eyes. They look like the girls at the top and they really look real. Its funny

  56. So, I’m not really in the “first commenter race” or anything (even though I love, love, love ARCS), but I’m noticing a trend here and I have to speak out. Um, shouldn’t there be rules about the content of the first post? I mean really. Gibberish or 1 letter as a comment shouldn’t count.

    I know the competition is TOUGH on here and every second counts. But seriously, I have enough faith in my fellow fans to know that you can do better. How about some real comments?

    I’m sure I’m outnumbered here. Because, you know…at 25, I’m old and too set in my ways. Sorry. 🙁

    I know, I know…when I hold first commenter contests (with cool prizes) on my own blog, I can make my own rules.

I think that the Auditions are going to be in 2008 bc all these people are talking about auditioning to be Tally and Shay. Congrats Scott!

  67. Something is terribly wrong. I can not go to sleep. And it’s 2:34 am here. I’m currently listining to White Collar Boy and reading all the previous post on Maureen Johnson’s blog since I’ve alredy done that here and I’ve already watched all the Brotherhood 2.0 movies. Next is Justine’s though I’ve already read alot of them.

I went to the HP thing, see, and I haven’t been able to sleep. And it sucks. So, Scott, I appreciate it VERY MUCH that you update your blog frequently.     That happens a lot for me, though. The person on the cover (if you can see the person, that is) becomes the character.
    Or, if the person isn’t good enough, some random actor that i think looks like the character BECOMES the character.
    Kinda fun.

  75. o boy. 75. well i guess im a little behind. thats ok. i dont usually win these things anyway and i dont want to get obsessed. although i will be here 4 pm sharp and refreshing on thursday. but in the meantime i dont think im going to be doing any frolicing in the grass….?

    Anyhoo the picture is cool. although i think she looks way cooler on the cover. actually when i think about it i never really have a picture of the main characters in my head when i read a book but i know that the settings are always familliar places (for example if the person lives in a small house i always imagine my neighbor bailey’s house, dont ask me why)

    dont worry lil. i aint aussie but i’m not coming at you with an axe. i think its really cool how people from all over the world leave comments and stuff (yes i am that wierd and still discovering the wonders of the internet).

  76. okay so i just wen to that post about that movie and i have a little warning for scott. I HATED ERAGON THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!! cuz i read the book first and then the movie just sucked. so beware and dont let them chop you wonderful books to sad movie pieces. although i dont think ive seen a movie based on a book yet that i’ve actually liked. plus this is one more movie i’ll be anxiously waiting for but probably wont come out until i’m in college (it’s sitting right on top Artemis Fowl and the Clique). anyway i’ve babled long enough.

  82. Hey, Bri-La. Yes, the movies are never as good as the books. Books just have somthing special about them. No matter how hard the movie makers try they can’t top the book. THe only thing that they can do it hope it’s good. And I think that Scott’s books will be great! Because well, look at how hard they worked on Aragon, it may not have been that great of a movie, but it was like the book. I don’t make any sence right now. Darn. What I am trying to say is that I think Scott’s books are awesome and I hope the movie is as good as the books

    Kadie-wa: Do you mean Eragon? (Have you ever noticed it’s one letter away from dragon? Therefore my dad kept thinking the dragon was Eragon before I forced him to read the book) Personally I think they butchered the book: Misrepresentation of the relationship between Skulblaka and Shur’tugal (Dragon and Rider); weird representation of the battle of Farthen Dur; a ton of other things I really don’t want to list that also bug me. Isn’t it wonderful that we each get to have our own opinions? (Then again, I may be being too nit-picky. Admittedly, for all that, it was awesomely CGI’d 😉 )
    But on the subject of an Uglies movie: I’ll probably be compelled to see it, just because I drive myself insane that way. I don’t have that much hope for it, but: it is very action-packed, therefore I think they might be able to get away with it. And if they leave my expectations lying in the dust I will be very happy.
    Plus, who of all of us don’t want to see hoverboards on-screen?

  105. I think a ping, in very very basic terms, is saying ‘are you there’ to a website. if it doesn’t reach it it’ll tell you why which is why some geeks prefer it to hitting refresh.
    It has already been explained at great length but I thought I’d toss in my two cents. (if it’s a penny for your thoughts and you give your two cents where does the other penny go?)
