Here’s some news about some of the other sites related to my books.

A new teen website called TeenLibris.com has a contest up right now. They’re giving away copies of Bogus to Bubbly and Uglies t-shirts!

Teen Libris also has an excerpt from Bogus to Bubbly online, so go and check it out.

There’s a ton of new content at FeelingBubbly.com, my publisher’s site for the Uglies series.

    why?
    well, it’s not like anyone cares enough to wanna know but my family loves making fun of me AND my love of writing/reading/music. honestly, if i didn’t look so much like my dad i’d swear i was adopted. why the heck can’t my family just shut up and leave me alone. oh and when during supper when they’re all laughing at me (not with me, AT me) i yell SHUT UP at my younger brother then i get a deduction of my allowance. yeah. then they CONTINUE making fun of me and so i yell SHUT UP again and next thing i know i’m getting another deduction. now i’m just gonna go into my bedroom and try to block out the fact that life sucks.

Mwhahahahha!

    ok so nothing new on the GREEN DAY site. but…if u GREEN DAY fans want anything GREEN DAY-ish for Christmas check out their store on their website. i think i made it so that my name now goes to their website. hmmmmm…not sure.

    Andrea-la, I’m sorry. I know what you mean, I get stuck with friends like that all the time. I don’t know why, but I make very sarcastic friends. Right now they can’t stop poking fun at me just because I brought a flashlight on the bus to school… I mean, I wanted to read while I waited for the bus to get to my friend’s house. It was dark in the morning at the time. I can’t read in the dark. So I solved the problem, but apparently it was a weird solution. And the fact that I’m in Algebra 2 but I’m in 8th grade is enough of a reason for them to poke fun at me. I’m getting sick of being called the “smart kid” and having 7th graders walking into the room I’m working in (because a 7th grade teacher works with me since she’s the only teacher qualified) and asking me if Algebra 2 is hard.

    What kinda question is that? Augh, people can be frustrating, huh Andrea-la?

  30. I hang out with a 3 people all the time. I have lots of other friends but i hang with them.

    One we call the mom because shes always like “OMG, you have a stain. Let me get my tide to go!” and shes a math nerd. She LOVES math! I hate it.

    Another is the “no-laugh-a-lot” she is cool but really funny things shesll be like “You guys…thats not funny…”

    Then we have miss ‘i am going to say this even though it weird’. Like she just says weird stuff that only makes since to her.

    And me…I’m the blog commenter, read a lot, write a lot girl. And i always get teased for it. I love being the person that people say “What should i read?” so i never deny being a book worm but when it comes to them immitating me it hurts. I always try to say like “oh, that wasnt nice, (Blank).” If they tease each other but they always do it. I wonder if it also hurts them.

    ouch, andrea-la, i know how you feel. I wish people would get over the fact that I like to read and write. it’s not that amazing.

  33. i have officially calmed down. well, not really. but close enough. okay, so not at all. well, kinda. okay, so i went to triathlon training and so now i’m too tired to be mad at my parents. well, not too tired to be mad at my brother, but too tired to pick a fight with my parents. mostly cuz my mom gave me the whole “if i said ‘shut up’ when i was your age….” thing. she called it the ‘S word’ to which i said “i know a lot more words that start wtih s that mean worse things”. then my mom gave me the whole “i’m so proud that you’re so independant thing and how you don’t follow the crowd” thing so that i might forgive her for making fun of my short stories and stuff. yeah. i basically rolled my eyes and said “uh huh….right.” that continued for the ENTIRE CARRIDE FROM TRIATHLON. yeah. that sucked.
    Emily-wa: Haddy-la’s advice isn’t half bad. but don’t worry, i wont got emo yet (but some people think i have….but that’s the whole ‘if you wear black and are anti-social you’re emo’ thing…hahaha…yeah, i write depressing poetry. live with it.
    Haddy-la: Again, apparently i’m already “emo”…actually, I’m a lot more…ummm….book-nerdy….lol….nah…i’d say i’m an oboe-savy clarient-aholic (but that’s just what my friend calls me…you know, when she isn’t calling me a speed-reader, ect, ect)….lol….gosh….people think i’m so “emo” just cuz i wear black…can I just say that black clothes rock cuz they just do? plus then i can wear a purple scarf and i don’t need to worry ’bout it looking weird…or normal…or WHATEVER….

    Okay. Now I am calm. ‘Cept that my legs are kinda tired. Oh well. Yeah. I’m bored. Oh. “bedtime” (also known as “go to bedroom and read for three hours” time)…either way, byes…

  34. oh and on the topic of me being “emo” people who actually know me joke ’bout me being a math nerd….i always insist that it’s math GEEK….DUH! and it’s BAND nerd. gosh. oh and people who don’t like me call me a weirdo (to which i say thanks…cuz it really is a compliment) and many people call me “emo” just cuz i sit in the corner either coloring on my shoes or reading or writing or doing advanced math. yeah. i honestly don’t get why they think i’m “emo”. probably cuz i dyed my hair darker this summer….i got sick of all the “smart blonde” jokes.

  35. I just now finished Extras, and even though I’m sure you’ve heard this a trillion times….i absolutely LOVE the books! The suspense was incredible! Your series is probably the only books that I seriously didn’t want to put down.THANK YOU!! Oh and the books had really good messages in them ( or morals or whatever). So….anyways thanks again and keep up the amazing writing and i’ll keep reading. ☺

  56. ugh. okay, it’s so annoying how ALL of the adults that i meet ask me if i’m 18 or something…cuz i’m 14….for example the person who i volunteered with at church was all “so, are you excited about graduating? or have you already?”. UGH! does that happen to anyone else? or is it just me? cuz for some reason, people ALWAYS assume that I’m older than I am.

Andrea-la if preppy(as in holister and ugly stuff like that) people call you emo and then one day when their wearing skinny jeans go up to them and say my your looking emo today or your so d**n emo today and if you wear skinny jeans or just look emo then they will look at you funny and be like wtf(i have done it before its really funny). black is amazing and people most likly think im emo too. We are reading the witch of black bird pond in history and people are on like page 40 well im on 100 reading is good especialy when it make your read more than twice as fast as most people so you feel superior even if they do give you funny looks.

  63. i think i’ve got insane. i just emailed my ex-best friend’s sister. i mean, she isn’t really my “ex” best friend, more…umm…i moved away then she moved away and we’ve only been emailing eachother monthlyish and we only get to phone eachother on our birthdays….cuz she lives in Sinapore and I live in Canada and all that….but for some reason i felt like emailing her SISTER. her younger sister. there must be something wrong with me. yeah.

    @ Haddy-la- Um, I’m not liking your advice much 0_o Anyway, I read The Witch of Blackbird Pond in 5th grade with my class… Ugh, it was a good book but we had to move so slow it got boring so fast. I prefer to do independent reading in school so I can go as fast as I need to to keep my attention.

    @ Bran-la (OMG I ALMOST CALLED YOU BRAIN-LA BY ACCIDENT!! ROFL!)) I’m like a mix of all your friends, and you oddly enough.

    ~He falls in love with the most boring, uninteresting, stupid, pathetic, dry, average overused female love interest in the history of published works.

    Now, I don’t know about you, but I can think of more than a few *existing* men that possess none of the above qualities, and I’ll gladly take them over a Cullen *any* day. 😉

  88. anyway, I have no problem with being taken into another world. Why else do you think Twilight books are so effing addicting? I just think we have to draw the line somewhere. Preferably before announcing the main character (who really isn’t all that great) as your true love and claiming to never look at human boys the same way again, or arguing over which character would be a better love interest for yourself. *cough* jk.     I read all Justine’s Magic trilogy. The first book was genius. The next book was great. The last one was slightly strange. Oh well!

  98. bleh….I just watched “The Office” cuz it was the Winnipeg episode…they coulda done a better job…but on the plus side, i now understand the year-long joke that ended a few months ago at school!!!! cuz for Chapel, they were doing a series called “The Cafeteiria” and now I get that it’s a knock-off of “The Office” but i didn’t get that before, so yeah.   100. i really need to read twilight…one of my friends says it’s AWESOME and another says that it was terrible….i want to find out which it actually is.
    and i wondered out loud in front of some other friends “I wonder if twilight is all that it’s hyped up to be…”
    that turned out to be a bad mistake…one of them threw sand at my face and the other tried to fence with me with a plastic baseball bat. it failed to make me repent, but that is why i’m not surprised about what Audrey-sensei said in comment 54…about the booksigning.
