Free Tally!

With Leviathan on its way (60 days and counting!) my publisher and I thought we would give you guys a little present. So for the next month, Uglies will be available free in pdf form.

That’s right: Free book! Free Uglies! Free Tally!

Of course, this isn’t just free for you, my faithful blog readers. I mean, if you’re reading this, chances are you’ve got a copy of Uglies sitting around somewhere already. But if you have any friends, siblings, crushes, or enemies who you think might be interested in the series, why not send them over?

Cause, you know, people like free stuff.

Oh, and by the way, the first chapter of Leviathan is also included, along with an illustration you probably haven’t seen before. (That’s right, this is all a promotional scheme! Bwah-hah-hah!)

A quick technical note:
Obviously you can read a pdf on your computer, and both Sony e-Readers and Kindles take them too. If you have technical questions, feel free to ask them in this comments thread. I probably can’t help you, but hopefully somebody will.

Also: the download site asks for a US zip code, which is five numbers.

    Unrelated, I just finished reading Mind-Rain (I know, I’m slow) and I was wondering if you could share with us some of your opinions regarding the essays. I’m specifically curious about what you thought of Team Shay (I LOVED all the Shay-focus. She’s easily one of my favourite fictional characters and she finally got the spotlight she deserves. It was so annoying after reading her pumped up to go back to people talking about why Tally is special :P).

  19. I have just downloaded the book (even though I have my own hard copy). I was able to put in my Australian area code (4 digits) in the zip code box & had no problems. Hope this helps, Kristina-la.

  23. It’s not necessarily US-only, all you have to do is find a zip-code an type it in. I’m Canadian, so I just typed in the zip-code from that show, 90210. Easy peasy. I own Uglies, but I’m haven’t read the first chapter of Leviathan, so I’m going to read that.

  26. Bubbly-making! Going ovwer to re-read first chapter of leviathan now! I would re-read uglies to, but I’ve read it SO many times, i practiclly’ve memoried it by now ( cat-puke sky- hehe still makes me laugh ).

  53. Arg…I’ve been camping in the okanogan for the last week, and the internet connection is poop. I’ve been trying to download this forever and nothing…I come home and it’s done in 3 seconds!
    and the leviathan chapter was the same one that was in B2B 🙁

  78. I love it! I’m so glad I downloaded it. My library is crap and doesn’t have any of your books. And the really cool part about it was that the day I started reading it I was the same exact number of days from my 16th birthday as Tally when the book began. How weird is that?

  83. This is Perfect! I’m already reading it at school but still, i don’t have the money to be able to buy the book myself but now it’s uglies for free. If i said that correctly ? But, still it’s amazing how Scott made this possible. He is a greta author very inspiring to many others. I got inspired the moment the book came out just by reading like two pages of it in the book store waiting for my bus. His art and creative ideas come together.

    He will ALWAYS have another book, but never in the series of uglies. He’s in some what way of J.K. Rowling fan, i mean J.K. wrote a magical series that was full of laughs,tears, and just inspiring breath taking sentences of life.

  92. mi fav characters in the 1st 3 books are Shay and Peris but for the last book mi fav characters are Frizz and Aya. Me and mi best friend are hook on the series we have both read the series 3 times!!!!!!! and i love the ending to EXRTAS i am glad that Tally had a happy ending even if it wasn’t with Zane

  105. OMG! I love your books! I’m almost done with Pretties I have like…… 22 pages left!!!!!!!!!!! My friend has Bogus to Bubbly and I love reading your books! They are so detailed!   109. Hello, Neat post. There is an issue along with your site in web explorer, could check this? IE nonetheless is the marketplace leader and a large component to other folks will leave out your magnificent writing because of this problem.
