The Tour (updated w/Canada!)

Here at last is the info on my big Leviathan tour. But first the bad news: I’m probably not coming to your home town.

Why not? Well, I can’t go everywhere. In fact, I can only go to a tiny sliver of this gigantic country, even in five weeks of hard touring. So most of you will be disappointed. I AM SORRY ABOUT THIS. (As for other countries: There are plans for the UK, France, and Australia. But no details yet.)

Luckily for me, I cannot be blamed! This schedule was created by the giant S&S computer known only as TourTron, and I have no power over TourTron. No one does.

Here’s the good news, though, for those of you who live within the tiny sliver. I’ll have a couple of special guests on many of my events. One of them you know quite well: Robin Wasserman, author of Skinned and Crashed. You may remember her from this IMterview, and her week of guest blogging here.

My other guest will be Sarah Reese Brennan, author of Demon’s Lexicon, which I liked enough to give a big fat blurb to. She’s a wonderful writer of fan fic as well as YA, and has a hilarious blog. I’ll be IMterviewing her here soon.

Each event says who will be there—me and Sarah, me and Robin, or me alone.

HMMMMMMM…….when i find out the actual times of the Washington DC dates maybe i can go….or if i can convince my mom to go to NYC for a day..i’ll be in good shape *crosses fingers*. i still wish you were coming to Philly Scott Westerfeld 🙁 it’s cool. the one time i thought you were going to be there with your wife you ended up having mouth surgery and i was majorly bummed but still it was cool! i really wanna see you in person though! 🙂

    i wrote something today in my reading/writing workshop about Uglies and we only have 45 minutes so obviously i didn’t finish cause there was just too much to say!!! hahahaha 😉

  3. Nooo! Scott Westerfeld!!! Why?! I was so excited for the tour schedule! Alas… Authors never come to the midwest. It’s great here! I promise! Sigh… maybe next time. =(

  5. Ok Ive never met anyone famous and ur not coming close enough to denver. I mean if I can can get my mom to drive me like 780 miles to Tempe, AZ or fly there, then I’ll be happy. Well that dreams not happenin! Super sad. *long dramtic sigh*

  6. Yay, Seattle! Hopefully that date is finalized soon — I’m really going to try and come (might not be able to convince my parents to bring me to that in the same week they have to take me to a poetry reading… gahhh).

    I’ll just have to sit at home one of those nights and ceremoniously re-read Uglies and The Midnighters. Yes. I will do that.

  16. I’m going on October 7th to LaVerne… AHH! I’m going to assume there will be a book signing and bring my well-loved copy of Uglies, as well as my friend. I’m taking her for her birthday present and buying her a copy of Leviathan, so I REALLY hope you’ll be signing! I mean… Best. Birthday present. EVER.

    I didn’t realize that the tour was so soon!!!! I get out of school at 3:50 and it’s about 10 minutes away from LaVerne. I wish I could hoverboard but I’ll get my boyfriend to be my chauffeur and drive like the WIND.

  18. Scott, are you going to the Downtown library in Chandler, AZ, too? The library says that you will be there from 2:00-4:00pm on Oct. 14th. If you are, how is this going to be different from the event at Changing Hands?

  25. OMFG! I am so excited for you guys to come to Ottawa! I am a HUGE fan of you and Cassandra. This just made my book word self SO happy. I’ve never been met an author either so meeting two of my favs is AMAZING!

    Does it cost anything to see you?

    I’ve never been to this kind of thing before, but I want to know what kind of strings I need to pull (haha) or what kind of mile long line I need to stand in to see you.

    What is the price to see the fabulous Scott Westerfeld and wonderful Holly Black?

  34. Sorry I was so excited but nothing ever happens in Danbury… it all happens in either NYC or Hartford and getting to either is a hassle for my mom… so I’m super excited that this one is nearby!!!

  41. Can’t wait to see you Scott… I made my friend read Uglies and she liked the book a lot, so I’m dragging her with me (well, she agreed to go without the dragging part, she’s excited to see you too) so we can both see you. This is amazing… Nothing ever happens around here ^w^

  42. Hey Scott I came to one of these tours in DC(: You better remember me(just kidding, you’ve probably seen tons of people. But anyway I can’t wait for the Behemoth tour! I’m sending the TourTron mindwaves asking it to send you to Pittsburgh or somewhere nearby at least!
