The Tour (updated w/Canada!)

Here at last is the info on my big Leviathan tour. But first the bad news: I’m probably not coming to your home town.

Why not? Well, I can’t go everywhere. In fact, I can only go to a tiny sliver of this gigantic country, even in five weeks of hard touring. So most of you will be disappointed. I AM SORRY ABOUT THIS. (As for other countries: There are plans for the UK, France, and Australia. But no details yet.)

Luckily for me, I cannot be blamed! This schedule was created by the giant S&S computer known only as TourTron, and I have no power over TourTron. No one does.

Here’s the good news, though, for those of you who live within the tiny sliver. I’ll have a couple of special guests on many of my events. One of them you know quite well: Robin Wasserman, author of Skinned and Crashed. You may remember her from this IMterview, and her week of guest blogging here.

My other guest will be Sarah Reese Brennan, author of Demon’s Lexicon, which I liked enough to give a big fat blurb to. She’s a wonderful writer of fan fic as well as YA, and has a hilarious blog. I’ll be IMterviewing her here soon.

Each event says who will be there—me and Sarah, me and Robin, or me alone.

  2. YAY! I’ll be seeing you in LA. =D But oh my gosh, how are you guys going to be in La Verne at 4 and then Torrance at 7? O_O It takes over an hour to get there without traffic. xD ah well. (:

  14. Gahhhh! What do you think is the bet that I’ll somehow find somebody to drive me nearly two hours to LA on a school night!?!?! Why can’t I be half a year older and able to drive alone by now??? GRR! We’ll see about this. We shall see.

  17. Oh wow, weekdays. Grrr. If it had been a weekend I’m sure I could have finagled someone into driving me two hours to Torrance, but a Wednesday during rush hour, not so much. Disappointing, I suppose I’ll have to wait until another time.

    Unless, you know, you wanted to pick me up. I’d totally chip in on gas!

    Well, no, I’m totally broke… but I’d make sandwiches!

    Veggie ones, of course, since I’m not exactly keen on touching meat…

    But, um, totally. Pick me up. It’d be peachy.

  23. Could tour tron be…. persuaded…. in the future? say, bunches of people from the midwest buy your books.. or we could just go and intimidate it. Intimidation always works.

  25. Tour Tron has to be having some technical flaws. Because Philly’s missing from the tour list. Is there anyway I can fix these techinical issues? *begins plans of a covert operation, involving inputting Philly within the tour list*

  41. *sighs* no denver. actually no where near me! scott you need to just add another stop to the tour, after october 8th. your my fav author and CO is so boring, nothing happens or at least when things do i can’t go. *long dramtic sigh*

HMMMMMMM…….when i find out the actual times of the Washington DC dates maybe i can go….or if i can convince my mom to go to NYC for a day..i’ll be in good shape *crosses fingers*. i still wish you were coming to Philly Scott Westerfeld 🙁 it’s cool. the one time i thought you were going to be there with your wife you ended up having mouth surgery and i was majorly bummed but still it was cool! i really wanna see you in person though! 🙂

    i wrote something today in my reading/writing workshop about Uglies and we only have 45 minutes so obviously i didn’t finish cause there was just too much to say!!! hahahaha 😉

  55. Ok Ive never met anyone famous and ur not coming close enough to denver. I mean if I can can get my mom to drive me like 780 miles to Tempe, AZ or fly there, then I’ll be happy. Well that dreams not happenin! Super sad. *long dramtic sigh*

  56. Yay, Seattle! Hopefully that date is finalized soon — I’m really going to try and come (might not be able to convince my parents to bring me to that in the same week they have to take me to a poetry reading… gahhh).

    I didn’t realize that the tour was so soon!!!! I get out of school at 3:50 and it’s about 10 minutes away from LaVerne. I wish I could hoverboard but I’ll get my boyfriend to be my chauffeur and drive like the WIND.

  68. Scott, are you going to the Downtown library in Chandler, AZ, too? The library says that you will be there from 2:00-4:00pm on Oct. 14th. If you are, how is this going to be different from the event at Changing Hands?

    Does it cost anything to see you?

    I’ve never been to this kind of thing before, but I want to know what kind of strings I need to pull (haha) or what kind of mile long line I need to stand in to see you.

  84. Sorry I was so excited but nothing ever happens in Danbury… it all happens in either NYC or Hartford and getting to either is a hassle for my mom… so I’m super excited that this one is nearby!!!
