Okay, so the Canadian segment of the Leviathan tour starts next week.

One cool thing is that I’ll be appearing with Cassandra Clare (author of the Mortal Instruments series) and Holly Black (author of Tithe, Good Neighbors, and the Spiderwick books). On top of that, the Ottawa event has bonus special guest Keith Thompson, illustrator of Leviathan!

I’ve only done one event in Canada before, in Toronto, so I’ll be meeting a lot of you for the first time.

Note that the week after next (November 8-12) I’ll be doing events in NY and NJ. And I’ll be doing a benefit for Philadelphia’s library system on November 22, at Children’s Book World in Haverford, PA. Watch here for details.

    So I made my dog this bubbly hovercam costume for my dog, but she refuses to wear it! I just want her to hold still so I can get a picture! 🙂

I was in Chapters in Carlingwood JUST YESTERDAY to pick up Leviathan (finally had some time free from break week to come home from Toronto) and one of the lovely girls there told me that you were going to be here next week!! I nearly CRIED thinking, “WHY does break week have to fall THIS WEEK!?! Next week and I could have seen Scott!!!!”

    Now I’m strongly considering coughing up train fare to see you Thursday in Ottawa, but… I’ll probably try my hardest to see you in Toronto… It’s just so far from where we live (in Mississauga – going to school at Sheridan in Oakville)… But I’d have to go back to Toronto for class the next day anyway… Hmm… T_T; I want to see you in my hometown! And I want to meet and Kieth Thompson! Oh, the drama!!

  17. You should try to make a trip into western Canada sometime! Vancouver is just so much easier to travel to than Toronto hahaha!

  19. Ok, this is a tad off topic. But, was haloween night last night and there was this amazing electrical storm!!! Guess what i was thinking about 🙂

    And then to top it off its all dark outside and then my black cat siddels up beside me and freaked me out haha! (ie, like, a darkling).
    But hes not a scary cat, so if u see him some time dont try to throw some titanium alloys at him or somthing, K?

  20. I’m wearing my Polymath shirt from Midnighters. I walked downstairs and my mom was like “What’s that symbol from?” “The Scott Westerfeld book, Midnighters.” “Where did you get that shirt?” “I got it for a birthday one year.” “Did I get you that?” “Yeah, you did.”

  23. If we have previously bought a book of yours, can we still get it signed? Or do we need to purchase a book at the tour in order to get it signed?

    I’ll be seeing you this week, Scott. I can’t wait to meet you 😉 Me and a friend of mine have been counting down the days for the past few weeks. You have no idea how excited we are.

  29. So excited. It’s ridiculously cool that Cassandra Clare is going to be there as well. My dad’s dropping my friend and i off and then I’m forcing him to go to the Vogue portrait exhibit at the ROM. 🙂

    bythe way my mom just bought me the newyork series (soyesterday, peeps. and the last days) for my birthday!!!!!!!!! i have all of them and as i say they are B E A Utiful on my shelf:D
