Fan Art Friday is super late now, so I’m just waiting till . . . Friday. #isuck

But as you can see, I’ve made up for it below.

  8. I don’t really care who, but I kinda want David because a) I think he is supposed to be hot and b) He is the only character in there that you really get to know in uglies, which I have read.

  41. I don’t know who to vote for, but if we are throwing out the idea of turning other books (pretties, specials, extras) into manga: I think someone should take on the enormous task of making Leviathan into a manga. I, for one, would LOVE to see MORE of that world.
    Of course, I realize that nothing can come close to Keith Thompson’s stuff, but we should all try.
    …Or, better yet, we should get him to do the artwork.

  83. SteampunkJedi, It’s from Uglies. I’m an old-timer here, I’ve been on this site for like… wow, 3 years now? 4 years? Uglies was the first of Scott’s books I read back in 2007, when I was in 7th grade, so I’ve always liked it.

    ‘Wa’ and ‘La’ are just syllables that the characters from the Uglies series put on the ends of their names for fun. Most of them do it only to their friends, and it’s usually only the teens that do it.

    Deciding between ‘wa’ and ‘la’ on the end of the name is done by this simple rule:
    If there’s an ‘L’ in the name, you use ‘wa’.
    If there isn’t an ‘L’ in the name, you use ‘la’.
    So, for example, your name would be SteampunkJedi-la because there isn’t an ‘L’ in your username.
    My name would be Libby-wa, because obviously I have an ‘L’ in my name.

    And I know I’m late in the game, but I’m kind of surprised Tally is blonde. I always wanted to BE her like everyone else wanted to be her, but little did I know we shared the same hair color. Very odd.

    Shay's manga is BEAUTIFUL… as in, how is she still an "ugly" because she looks quite pretty to me!

    Shay is my favorite character, so I am uber excited that this book (and the other Shay stories) is coming out!

    I didn't know Shay had blue eyes… DOES SHAY REALLY HAVE BLUE EYES AND I NEVER PICKED UP ON THAT FROM THE MILLION AND ONE TIMES I HAVE READ THE SERIES?!?!?!?!?!?
