Hey, sorry for no posting. (Just. Finished. BOOK.) We’ve been having a great time in Texas.

All the folks at TLA were so amazing and welcoming, and as I’m a native Texian, there were some cool surprises. One of the librarians from my past brought my ancient 8th Grade yearbook. Two things about that:

1) Go Warriors ’77!
2) Picture of me = ouch.

Also, my own high school librarian showed up! She’s still at good old Booker T., and we had lunch and talked about old times.

  1. Maybe for your next signings you revisit Seattle. All my friends are major fans too, and would love to meet you in person. That would be amazing.
    And I agree with everyone else. We NEED to see that first chapter of Extras, or the wait until October will be horrendous. Please?

    A new magazine that doesn’t have a name yet o.o

    But Allen thinks it should be called “The Seer” But that has nothing to do with Extras o.o

    But that’s beside the point. I’m just soooo friggin’ excited and I’m wondering what Scott – or Justine – will look at first, a blog comment or the email I sent them xD

  9. for teh win? i dont get it….hmmm..arg..i’m kinda mad Scott stop the pings for Extras done..and we can ONLY look up to twenty..arg..i wrote some interesting comments..i’m sure a lot did! idk..i get annoyed when he does that..but that doesnt mean i hate him…he’s still my favourite! teehee

  11. I was on Amazon looking for were books and found a book that reminded me of Peeps with the whole sci fi feel behind the vampires and even linking them up with bacteria and viruses and such. Anyway it’s called I Am Legend by Richard Matheson. I think you’ll like it.

    Actual Comment on Post: I hate yearbook pictures. We got this crazy photographer this year who called me the “girl in the grey shirt” and kept pointing at me and making fun of me. I have no idea what his problem was.

  15. lol this year my year book pix was actually kind of good!!!! but last year and the years befor thats it really really sucked!!!!! lol but im just glad i finally got a pix that i liked and not my mom and dad (you now how their always like awww how cute!!!! lol P-L-E-A-S-E!!!! lol) 🙂

  20. Comparatively, you’re not that young Kim. I am 11, which is very officially Just A Kid. And I am short. Which does not help. People always seem to say, “Did you skip a grade or something?”

    And I glare at them. (I think in Midnighters 2 Melissa said “Glaring was good for making stupid people shut up.” Or something like that.)

    This has been a long and meaningless post. I like to rant about stuff like that. 😀

  22. IndigoEyes: I think i would rather be short and be asked if I skipped a grade rather than be tall and asked if you got held back, but I’m actually pretty smart, I have to G.T. classes .

    Shan: My little sister used to swim until her coach tied her feet together for the butterfly and then forgot about her. Oh and also is Shan your real name or part of your last name? There is a kid at my school and his last name is Shanandore but we call him Shan

  23. I’m 15 but I look older. My mom looks younger than she is so when we’re together we sometimes are mistaken for sisters…very funny.

    But I call myself Kaliana Ayako Ilayu Urako Siamo Tay. Which no one can pronounce right for some reason!

  29. Aww, man! You’re so close and yet…! If only I had a car (wait, no, that would be bad and illegal and end in some sort of tragicomedy)! I’m glad you’re having fun in Texas, though. 🙂 I’ll have to track you down at some other convention/conference to shake your hand and thank you in person for good so many good stories.

  37. Why are we all talking about how old we are? It strikes me as rather odd, seeing as how it has nothing to do with the post. How did it start? Don’t actaully answer that question, folks. I might as well chip in, eh? I turned 14 two weeks ago.

  39. yey im 14 to!!! lol yeppe for 14!!! 🙂 lol wow and i just turned 14 not to long ago eater on march 27!! and its kind of funny cuz my mom is march 20 and my dad is may 20 and my sis is july 28… we always joke around and tell her its all her falt that she wasnt born a day eirler so we would have the same day!! but i dont want the same day 🙁 lol but o well any way i have this pounding head acke (and i dont now if i spelled that right but o well) and it really sucks and i cant swallo pills so i just have to suck it up and deal with it… but music alway helps my head!!! lol i now its kind of strange but it works and it has to be really really loud like full blast!!! but thats normal for me lol 🙂

  46. Ya’ll are lucky 2 have summer Birthdays!!! Mines in January and I can never have a good party cause it’s always FREEZING (even tho I live in Florida) and everyone has on 2 many coats 2 do anything!!! If it’s inside…. well thats just kinda boring 2 me…..well anyways that was kinda off topic but o well!!
    Happy Birthday if it’s anyones B-day!!
