Us on Cult-Pop

While we were at ConFusion, Justine and I sat down with Jim Hall of Cult Pop, a local Detroit cable show about “anything interesting.” (Usually, this means science fiction writers.)

For those of you who live in southeastern Michigan, you’ll find it airing on Comcast (channel 20).

Also, as many adult interviewers do, Jim asks us a lot of questions about what YA is. You guys might find our answers non-earth-shattering on that score. But it’s a half hour (!) of fun and excitement, with lots of news about my and Justine’s next books.*

  10. Just wanted to say: We’re living in Germany for three years (husband is US Army) and yesterday we went to a bookstore. I saw Uglies and Pretties in German!! Except the were called Ugly and Pretty.

    Super cool!! And the covers are pretty neat, too…

  26. Sugar has this really weird affect on me
    I had a peice of cake on a Thursday once
    Then I was like on a sugar rush for 3 days straight
    Then on Sunday I slept for 14 hours…
    The Frau doesn’t let me have high sugar drinks anymore…
    Nope no sugary drinks for me!
    *sob*
    SUGAR!
    NOOOOO!
    I just had coke…

    The Frau cannot intrude upon my home to keep me sane!

    ok so i reailzed today that this week is my one year aniversary of reading uglies which was my first scott book
    i figured this out cause when i broke my ankle last year i was reading pretties and i will have broken my ankle a year ago like next week i was just insanely excited about reailzing this and thought i would let u all know lol evevn if you dont exactly care haha

    I gave my friend a list of books I thought she would like (and that I really like, I like to keep a list of what I read, even though I often forget to put some books on it)and she just said, “What am I supposed to with this?”
    And then she recycled it
    I had it saved on my computer though

  42. YaY!!! I Pre-ordered Breaking Dawn at Borders! I got New Moon on audio and am listening to it right now. I usually hate books on audio but I decided to get it since I already read the book. At least this time there’s a good narrator.

  45. I hate the it when the narrators have like a nose problem or they talk like there 5 it makes me mad. We have to listen to them in school. URG!

  46. Yeah, when we have to listen to them at school, I shut mine off as soon as the teacher turns around. I think they’re annoying usually cuz I read a lot faster than the narrators, and it slows me down.

  48. Ahhhhhh!!!! The retarted New Moon cd is brand new and it keeps SKIPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spent-well my Dad- 50 dollars on the freakin thing and it’s not even working! Me = angry!
